Idaho Milk Products is a wholly owned stand-alone business in which dedicated dairies provide a guaranteed large scale milk supply into the plant operations. All milking parlors are within forty-five minutes of the production facility. That unique proximity to our dedicated milk supply means that under normal operating procedures, Idaho Milk Products can transition from raw milk at our milking parlors to final packaging within twenty-four hours.
From our inception, we’ve adhered to our core belief that the freshest, most consistent milk product ingredients lead to the best tasting end products. To best meet our freshness goals, we worked with the leading designers and builders of dairy processing plants in the United States, as well as top processing equipment suppliers.
As with all dairy processing, maintaining freshness is key. For Idaho Milk Products, freshness begins on our farms. The milk brought into the plant is split into its macronutrient components: protein, carbohydrates, fat and water through a series of steps utilizing standard dairy technologies but in new and innovative ways. The fat is separated and sold as IdaPro Cream, the protein is filtered, concentrated, dried and sold as IdaPro Milk Protein Concentrates, Isolates and Micellar Casein and the carbohydrate is concentrated, crystallized, dried and sold as IdaPro Milk Permeate Powder.
