LIQUINAT® - Liquid Citric Acid
Jungbunzlauer LIQUINAT® is citric acid (E-Number E330, CAS-No. 77-92-9) in liquid form, produced by a microbial fermentation of a carbohydrate substrate. Due to its advantages in handling, LIQUINAT® is widely used as acid and pH-control agent in foods, beverages and pharmaceuticals.
LIQUINAT® is a clear, practically colourless and practically odourless solution with a pure, fruit-sour flavour. It is a stable, non-volatile solution and completely miscible in water.
LIQUINAT® is strongly acidic but non-toxic and environmentally safe. It is fully biodegradable and can be disposed with normal sewage after neutralisation according to local legislation.
LIQUINAT® is a solution of Jungbunzlauer citric acid. The used citric acid meets the requirements of the latest edition of the European Pharmacopoeia (Ph. Eur), the United States Pharmacopeia (USP), the Food Chemicals Codex (FCC), and the Commission Regulation (EU) No. 231/2012.
