Maca

MacaLepidium meyenii It is an Andean crop that grows 3,500 meters above sea level in the central mountain range of Peru, its origin dates back to the Inca period, probably around 1,300 to 2,000 years ago. Native Peruvians traditionally used this super root from pre-Inca times for both medicinal and nutritional purposes. Today, maca is acknowledged as a powerful energizer and multivitamin, mainly due to the presence of amino acids, fiber and vitamins B1, B2, B6, B12, C and E, and glucosinolates.
