Organic Cacao Nibs
Cacao nibs (Theobroma cacao) come from the seed found within the fruit of the cacao plant. Native to the rainforests of South America, cacao is the main ingredient of chocolate. The nibs are obtained from the seeds of the cacao through a process of toasting and grinding. Nothing is added, they are the raw pieces of the pure inner seed. Cacao nibs have a pleasant deep chocolate flavor which can be described as slightly bitter and nutty. They are a rich source of antioxidants, vitamins, minerals (magnesium, potassium, selenium, zinc, copper, and iron) and fiber. Cacao nibs are sugar-free, low calorie, and low fat.
